The principle is quite simple: a projectile damping assembly consists of a cylindrical volume of tubes made of a material from the polymer family suspended from a disc that is driven in rotation in the vertical plane. When a projectile hits one or more of the tubes, it is damped, braked and falls into a drawer without being deformed or, in any case, without melting.
The rotation of the cylindrical volume of tubes means that there is no single point of impact, thereby considerably increasing the longevity of this shock-absorbing consumable.

The principle is to stop 0.22 LR calibre projectiles without pulverising them, using a series of vertical strips of polymer material. These strips are arranged side by side in a horizontal plane, with several rows perpendicular to the axis of the projectile's trajectory. The number of rows depends on the energy of the projectiles to be stopped.
These bands or strips are wound around a cylinder with a horizontal axis so as to move the point of impact of the projectiles on the bands.
